CIET have a positive &  proactive safety culture that is characterised by communications founded on mutual trust, by shared perceptions of the importance of safety and health and by confidence in the proficiency of prevention measures. Our commitment to safety is guided by appropriate legislation and guidelines. CIET are certified to OHSAS 18001.


Safety Management Systems

We recognise that embracing a supportive safety culture is fundamental to improving sustained health and safety performance. Health and Safety management systems promote proactive health and safety management. CIET is accredited with the OHSAS 18001 standard. The ISO (the International Organization for Standardisation) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies.

Safety Policies

CIET has adopted exacting safety guidelines defined in our Safety Policy and Statements. These comprehensive documents provide ongoing recommendations for management and staff to ensure compliance. Together with continual updates and audits based on field experience, CIET works to ensure the safety of staff, sub-contractors, and the general public.

Safety communication and consultation

CIET operate a Company wide 360 degree Communication process, ensuring a free-flow of relevant and timely information throughout the company.

CIET win National Health and Safety Award

Belmullet based company CIET win National Health and Safety Award at the 19th Annual Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2010 held in Athlone on the 1st of October 2010. The awards which are run by the National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO)/ Northern Ireland Safety Group saw CIET win the award for the Best new Entry for Medium Size Organisations.

CIET Managing Director Louis Cronin said that he was “delighted by the award which is in recognition of staff commitment within the company to best practice in Health and Safety.”
