Carbon Control

CIET monitors it environmental performance with an active policy of reducing its carbon footprint. With full co-operation from staff, and a well-managed plan, CIET are committed to a year on year Carbon footprint reduction.

Conservation Areas

The National Parks & Wildlife Service (NPWS) is part of the Department of the Environment and is charged with the conservation of a range of habitats including Natural Heritage Areas (NHAs), Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) and Special Protection Areas (SPAs).

Since its inception CIET has worked closely with the NPWS in many environmentally sensitive areas. CIET constantly communicates our commitment to environmental responsibility to our staff. For that reason, all CIET employees have a greater understanding of how responsible actions can eliminate or mitigate the impact on the environment as a result of our programme of work.

At project initiation stage, all work is scoped to ensure that designations are identified, and suitable environmental plans are put in place to eliminate or mitigate potential environmental impact from our activities. This would typically include research into locally sensitive areas including watercourses, wildlife habitats, and similar sensitive eco-systems.
